Sold Metro Goldwyn & Mayer hit a home run with this epic film in 1962, taking on the How the West Was Wontask of showing four generations of Prescott’s travelling west in the 1800 (from 1839-1889).

It was an epic of a movie starring some of the biggest stars of the day John Wayne, Henry Fonda, Jimmy Stewart and Debby Reynolds to name just few of this 24 star studded film.

It showed the drive and willingness that they had to travel so far across country to what was thought of as the land of opportunity. This was a time in American history that shaped the west into what it is now, making this film of some historical importance.

If not historical importance it was a dam great movie in any day and age and can still draw a crowd every time it is shown…

This cardboard poster is 65/86 and was originated in 1964, this is not an original poster from the original movie. Not really sure who or why this poster was made, perhaps for the European market don’t know, but it is does have a very cool look to it and demands attention and sparks conversation.

It has one main flaw in it the upper right corner the “T” has been damaged a bit…the corners are in good shape and it sits on a piece of board. Not pristine condition but good condition for the age of this cardboard poster.
